I'm often asked this question by people that have not spent time in the desert, or spent time but have not taken the time to learn about what makes the desert appealing. I love the wide open vistas!
I also love how everything has had to adapt to live and thrive in a very challenging climate. The plants and animals are unique and surprising, the rocks cut by wind and water. A little bit of rain creates magic! It truley is a land of enchantment. There are certainly areas that would be easier as a Landscape Designer but nothing I have found speaks in the same voice to my soul.
